Today we’d like to introduce you to Victor Jackson.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started as a Hype Man and Emcee in high school and it was really by default. People always told me how funny I was. Back then, we called it roasting lol – so my teacher told me that I should turn the energy into something productive and picked me to Emcee the school’s talent show. As I grew older, I started to meet a lot of people here in Atlanta in the nightlife and entertainment industry and the rest is history.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It definitely has NOT been a smooth road. There is a high demand for Emcees and Content Managers however there are not many of us. As big as the city is, it’s small at the same time and everyone knows everyone. When I first started, I really didn’t know what I was doing. I was legit winging it. I lost out on a lot of money and gigs back then because I had to learn the art of negotiating and how to find solid partnerships who truly had my best interest at heart.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I emcee and host some of the hottest parties in Atlanta. I’ve done everything from Weddings birthday parties to private events. But what I’m most proud of is breaking into hosting the club scene. I’ve done parties with thousands of people looking to me to keep the crowd hype and I love every minute of it. It’s like a rush for me because contrary to popular belief, I’m actually a shy guy off stage. I also take extreme pride in the celebrity relationships I’ve built last year, I worked with my client Natalie Nunn from bad girls club on a show called baddies Atl on Zues network. I literally managed her content at that time and all that came to by simply meeting her on a 5 hour flight from LA to Atlanta a few years ago.
I think what sets me aside from others in the industry is me having a true passion for the art of making others feel good. Standing on a stage hyping a crowd up for five or more hours at a time may seem easy to most but trust me it definitely has its challenges. Just imagine 800 people or more looking to you to make them have a good time for the night.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Call me what you wish, but I truly don’t believe in luck. I believe in blessings. I have always been a spiritual person who believes in manifestation and trusting the man upstairs. Every accomplishment I’ve ever made I can’t take full credit because I truly believe it was my designed destiny and support system (Family) especially my Mother who helped me to get to where I am today.
