Daily Inspiration: Meet Jimmy Ace Lewis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jimmy Ace Lewis.

Hi Jimmy Ace, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I have been acting most of my life, I was born in Binghamton, NY and lived in Harpursville, NY. Before moving to South Carolina and eventually Atlanta. To this date, I am blessed to have worked on over 60 productions best known from the CBS Saturday morning kids show “Hidden Heroes”, award-winning thriller on streaming called “the Stalker” a film franchise my mother and I wrote and produced (which can be seen on Roku, Tubi, and Amazon Prime) where I play a lead role (of which I won an award from) with a sequel on its way starring Jason Faunt. An upcoming episode for Disney+/National Geographic show called “Something Bit Me” where I play a real-life person named Fred Langdale my episode airs April 10th at 10:30pm. You can see me in a movie called “Point man”, Power Rangers fan film called “Power Rangers Legacy” (on YouTube) where I play The Black Ranger, Power Rangers the audio drama playing Rocky Desantos the Red Thunder Ranger (on YouTube or wherever podcasts are found). I’m in several upcoming films one of them is called “seeds” I am always blessed to be working on something you can follow me on Instagram where I post updates @JimmyAceActor17 or check out my IMDb page Jimmy Ace Lewis. Life wasn’t always easy for my family and I, we have overcome many obstacles and difficult times in our life. Hard work, determination, and trusting in God will always pay off.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Life will always have its struggles but that’s how you know you’re on the right path. Rejection is all a part of the game they say 300 people submit for one acting job, 30 people get an audition, and only one person gets the part. It’s a tough industry but totally worth it. Making our own films have their difficulties as well especially when you’re making an indie movie things like budget and scheduling can become a balancing act. In the end, though it’s always worth fighting for,

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a full-time working Actor in the South East, I play a wide variety of characters especially Teen/ young adult roles. I am a martial artist. I have been doing Tae Kwon Do for four years now. I specialize in nunchucks and katana work, I’m able to bring these into my acting jobs especially whenever I play superhero characters. I’m most proud of any films my mom and I make together right now we’re working on an original superhero character driven action film called “Enter the Power Surge.” I would say what sets me apart is every single day I am looking for work and more ways to advance my career and my skill set.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
I remember when I was a child, I was doing a play, I remember seeing these massive sets being built, I remember seeing these amazing costumes, i remember the special effects and seeing how it was done, I remember they had a fake snow machine, I also remember they had great food backstage haha. It’s times like those that you can look back and see where you discovered the magic in the world that has led me to the path I’m on today.
