Today we’d like to introduce you to Akshi Naik.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Akshi. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
The desire to pursue entrepreneurship is something that runs deep in my family and continues to be part of our journey from generation to generation. My family relocated from Connecticut to the Atlanta area in 2015 to begin the voyage of opening our own Goddard School. I was introduced to the Goddard Franchise through my cousin’s who own two Schools in Raleigh/Durham and Chapel Hill, NC.
After enrolling my children in the Goddard School – I wanted to develop some real-world experience of working for the school, so I accepted a full-time position at the Goddard School of West Cobb Marietta in 2016. In 2017, I began working with Goddard to become a franchisee and am excited to be opening my very own school in March 2018!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The road will almost always have bumps along the way and my journey was no different. We relocated hundreds of miles and had to face many difficult decisions and make significant sacrifices along the way. Looking back, I’m very proud of how far we’ve come and excited about the future that is ahead of us.

The Goddard School specializes in early childhood development serving children from six weeks to Pre-K. Goddard follows a F.L.EX. (Fun Learning Experience) the educational framework that allows children to have fun while learning.
Our highly qualified teachers create customized lesson plans to foster the cognitive and social development of each child through play-based activities. Our approach is based on widely accepted research that indicates that children experience the deepest, most genuine learning when they are having fun.
What has been the proudest moment of your career so far?
The proudest moment of my career is when I became the owner of The Goddard School. It was a dream of mine for many years and to see that dream come to life has been wonderful.
