Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Simone.
Hi Jasmine, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I first started modeling when I was 15 years old since then, I have been perfecting my craft and building my name brand. I connected my passion for acting when I was 17 years old and have been seeing remarkable changes throughout the years. I am grateful to have such a supporting family and team, with their help I was able to become the person I am today.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
In the business of pursuing my dreams of becoming a successful fashion model and actress, I have experienced several setbacks, which sometimes made me think about giving up. I am blessed to have a dedicated support system and that is what helps me to continue to persevere. My family are my biggest cheerleaders, and they always motivate me not to give up on myself and to never give up hope in God. I call on God for peace and clarity about my career and many times He will send an answer through a complete stranger who knows nothing about me or my passion. That alone gives me the strength to keep striving for success.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am most proud of creating my brand Strut Industries. Strut Industries is currently providing classes for all aspiring models and actors. Strut provides the training it’ll take for you to perfect your craft in modeling and acting. We understand the importance of having a passion and would only love to help give others the proper training techniques as well as finding a comfortable balance within their talent Strut Industries is only going to grow and prosper into a beautiful foundation and I can not wait to see the impact it brings to others.
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
With every dream comes a risk. Going after your dreams itself is the biggest risk a person can take because it’s a fifty-fifty chance of getting the better end. I used to find myself in conflicting situations, thinking whether or not if I could actually step into this whole new world, but why not me?
I believe if I work hard, keep my faith and trust in God, then I could be there too.
Stepping into the modeling industry was a major risk. I was so determined and confident in my dreams I completely ignored the option of going to college. Instead, I attended a modeling and talent school to learn more about the business within the modeling industry.
If it had not been for risk-taking, most people wouldn’t be in the position their in today.
