Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Allen.
Brittany, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Growing up, I knew I always wanted to be in the beauty industry. I started out as a little girl watching the nail techs trying to learn their techniques so I could do my own nails. I ended up moving from my hometown to middle Ga and decided to give it a real shot and go to school. My first attempt, I was almost done with school…. I was three months away from having my first son but life happened and I had to stop. I was so heartbroken I cried for weeks. My second time again, I was almost done but then again, life happened… if I can give one piece of advice to all the young ladies never let a man stop you from reaching your goals! So I ended up moving back home with my two sons my youngest being autistic with nothing but our two big suitcases and a trash bag…. I ended up getting us off the ground and looked into going back to school again. I prayed on it and said Lord if this is really for me it will be…. so I enrolled in night school and worked at a middle school during the day… I became a licensed nail technician December 2020!!!!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has definitely been a journey!!!! I fought for years to make my dream come true!! Starting three times but on that third try, I succeeded to breaking through in this industry, I still have a long way to go but I’m a fighter and will make a name for myself!
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a licensed nail technician and the owner of bees nail trap, LLC. I also have an online nail supply that will be available to the public in April on Amazon and Shopify Honeybee nail supply. I’m mostly known for my 3D art. I believe what sets me apart from others is my determination and drive.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory would have to be when my cousin and I would come up with dance routines for hours and then come up with songs…. we just knew we would become famous one day, lol.
