Denario Keon Caldwell, better known as Ai Gotte, born on July 3, 1997, is a North American Hip Hop artist from Jackson, Mississippi. Born and raised on the northside of Jackson, Ms in a hood called Virden Additon a.k.a V.D.P and it is also the same place we’ll know rapper who passed away (Lil Lonnie) is from coming from parverty single mother I always had. Passion for music I was more so a basketball player music came about when my first cousin on my dad side died it fueled the flame to fire so I decided to go farther… Ai Gotte came on the scene back in 2017 with his first song “Pain in my heart” when he was going by young redd. He’s known for his hit singles “Struggle”, “This Life” & “Walkdog Flow”. Ai Gotte became a big name in early 2021 when he was released from doing time. Gotte started buzzing and caught the eye of big names such as OMB Peezy, Lil Lonnie (r.i.p), Dave Mack and more. In 2021, he was released from Green County (SMCI) one of the worst prisons in the state of Mississippi his hot single “Walk Dog Flow” had the whole world Stuck artists such as Omb Peezy, Meezy, and Murda Man started speaking highly on the artist’s name and now more and more fans are getting hooked on Ai Gotte. Ai Gotte started doing music at the age of 16, however he had a rough start. Growing up, he was always talked about always told he wouldn’t be anything he wouldn’t accomplished nothing in life. He didn’t let it stop him despite what was said. Gotte main goal is to teach the world how to live in their truth, provide for his daughter and son and to prove that just cause they say you can’t, you can grow up I didn’t have a father or a father figure or a role model I had to play the hand that I was dealt I ended up going to prison for two and a half almost three years it wasn’t till I came home to my brother being murdered that right there made me really turn up the heat I have lots of new content on the way wish me well.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it hasn’t honestly. I just came home from being incarcerated and first thing for most is making a way of living cause right now, it’s hard on a convicted felon it’s challenging but I got it fashoo.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I prefer public figure due to my situation. I am also an upcoming black activist. I try to teach the young generation that it’s more to life to guns and violence and try to put knowledge in them early cause I don’t have any guidance. I was just forced to jump in and go but if you want to classify me in the business world if you can say Artist or Musician, I mama know for My Music being close to omb peezy building a brotherly relationship and the stuff he told me and showed me… shout out to omb peezy he really helped me he don’t even know it I am most proud to be a father first a role model second and last I’m proud to have made it this far in this game.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Mentor… I mean, I raised myself I talk to myself so mentor. I guess I wouldn’t be the right fit for that question lol but nah for just being myself constantly making music networking with other artists and perfecting my craft as I go for.
