Has it been a smooth road?
I start working on getting my practice established and found out I was pregnant a couple months into planning and renovations. Both have been a blessing but challenging at the same time. I currently still work at an ER and am working to establish my practice at the same time so it’s been a balancing act. I also try to maintain a healthy lifestyle by meditating every day, doing yoga, staying active and cooking for my family which can be a challenge and all time consuming on its own.

Our practice was supposed to open in September 2017, so we were delayed with construction over 3 months which was hard because I wanted to establish my practice a little more before I go on maternity leave. Nonetheless, both are beautiful blessings which I’m excited about.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Revive Atlanta MD story. Tell us more about the business.
We are a Functional & Integrative Family Practice so we see all patients from babies to the elderly. We see same day acute problems as well as chronic medical problems.

Our approach is a very holistic, natural one. We merge convention traditional western medicine with eastern philosophies by incorporating mindfulness, meditation, nutrition, supplements and more. We specialize in everything from weight loss, hormonal replacement therapy, allergies, healing autoimmune issues, gut problems as well as supplementing and supporting cancer treatments. We also have nutritional IV therapy and do aesthetics.

I couldn’t have set up this practice without the support from my husband and family and am very grateful for all their help. I’m super proud that they have been able to lead me into the right direction so I could fulfill my dream. I’m grateful for all my patients who have also been supportive of this practice.

We take insurance which is important and different because most integrative & functional medicine practices do not so that sets us apart. Insurance companies can be challenging and difficult to deal with as a provider but we want to make Holistic, Integrative & Functional Medicine affordable for everyone as well as make it more mainstream.

Where do you see your industry going over the next 5-10 years?  Any big shifts, changes, trends, etc?
I see Functional & Integrative Medicine becoming more mainstream over the next 5-10 years so I am fortunate we are at the forefront of this movement. Lifestyle medicine is the way to go to.
