Today we’d like to introduce you to Blake “Blizzy” Robinson. Them and their team share their story with us below:
The Loyalty Club is a lifestyle brand founded by professional drummer Blake “Blizzy” Robinson. Blake is a New Orleans native who began playing the drums in his father’s church where he currently plays whenever he’s not traveling the world. In 2015 he decided to start The Loyalty Club and enlisted the help of his good friend Jarroid Warner. Jarroid is the co-owner of the brand and is also a native New Orleanian and a Xavier University alumni. The Loyalty Club was created to be more than a fashion brand, it is a home for all creative outlets and is involved in music, photography, real estate, and much more. The goal of the brand is to be a one-stop shop where like-minded individuals can come and make their dreams come true.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Hasn’t been a smooth road at all. We’ve took a lot of L’s along the way, lol. When we first started, it was hard trying to get products made. It wasn’t as easy as it is today to get things produced. We’ve had people steal money from us when we first started, that kind of set us back for a minute. We’ve took L’s on designs too lol something that we thought was gonna be a hit flopped and we were stuck with a bunch of products that we couldn’t sell. I could go on & on but I’ll stop here, lol.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a professional drummer. I’ve traveled all over the world playing drums for rapper G-Eazy. I’m also a creative. I design a lot of the products you see along with my homie Mike G. I like to call us Jordan & Pippen but he’s Jordan hahaha he’s the goat when it comes to designing, lol. I’m known for having a different level of focus. Whatever I put my mind to, everyone around me know Ima focus & get the job done. I’m most proud of my relationship with God, it’s an everyday struggle but God knows I try my best to do the right thing everyday, lol. What sets me apart is I’m a preachers kid but my work & money comes mainly in the hip hop world. I feel like that sets me apart because I could be around all Holy people one day, the next day I’m around all killers & street niggas lol, the next day I could be around all white people w/G-Eazy lol. I feel like that sets me apart because each group of people know that I’m never tryna fit in & they know Ima be the same person & show the same love no matter who I’m around & that’s why people respect me…
