Today we’d like to introduce you to Deja Leonni.
Hi Deja, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Deja better known as Deja Leonni. I am an American singer/rapper, actress and model born and raised in Northwest Indiana. I am currently based in Chicago, Illinois and Atlanta, Georgia.
As it pertains to music, I have been writing songs and performing for as far back as I can remember. By the time I was 17, I was recording music and directing my own music videos.
I received notoriety across my city after releasing my first single, ‘Round. Since then, I’ve released a slew of songs. Most recently, an EP titled “Honest.” featuring five songs. (Now available on ALL streaming platforms)
As it pertains to modeling and acting, I began freelance modeling in Atlanta, Georgia during the Summer of 2020.
I would then begin my acting career the following year in Chicago. So far, I’ve been heavily featured in three films, in which premiered on Lifetime and ION. I have had the pleasure of working alongside Collin Egglesfield, Arielle Kebbel, and Vivica A. Fox.
Overall, I genuinely love what I do and I look forward to take my craft to the next level and redefining what it means to be an entertainer.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Whew, no… Not at all.
One of the biggest obstacles I’ve faced is not having a team behind me to orchestrate my endeavors. I do all my work on my own. It would help me a great deal if I was signed to an agency or had a PR team behind me. And although I appreciate the genuine support that I receive from fans, I know I haven’t yet received the true recognition I’ve deserved as of yet.
I’m ready for the world to know my name.

I am a singer/rapper, model and actress. I would have to say that my versatility is what distinguishes me from others.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What I love most about the city of Atlanta is the Southern hospitality! I have received multiple services for free including eyelash extensions, hair extensions, and countless photoshoots. Besides that, I really admire the fact that it is a thriving city for black entrepreneurs and black businesses.
There have been very few things I dislike about Atlanta. The good definitely outweighs the bad.
