Check Out Indigo Monet’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Indigo Monet.

Hi Indigo, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I got to where I am today with love. Love of self, love from my God, love from my family, love from my creative peers, and from the constant love and encouragement I’ve received from my fans since day one.

My journey to Indy literally started as a seed in my mother’s womb. It’s honestly ingrained in my essence to be artistic and to create. I’ve been perfecting molding this realm like play dough in my hands since I was young. Been dancing since I could walk. Writing songs since I could put words together. Ditching Barbie Dolls to play with cut-out paper dolls, I drew on construction paper. I’ve always been out of the box and drawn to creation energy. Anything in the arts. I am art.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Smooth is definitely not the adjective. I’ve made a lot of sacrifices for this life. It’s necessary when your goals are greater than most people can comprehend. I’ve left good-paying jobs to go on 22 city tours, hanging out with Akon at Greystone, only to come home jobless and broke, struggling to make ends meet. I’ve moved across the country to the foreign land of Los Angeles from my home, New York, with nothing but a suitcase with three weeks of clothes and not a dollar to my name. I’ve gone through homelessness, sexual objectification, rejection from some of my elders in my family, depression… so much.

But when I tell you it’s all worth it to live in my purpose… to have seen the things I’ve seen and moved the rooms I’ve moved… if you want something bad enough, you’re gonna do whatever it takes. No excuses.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m most known for being a performing artist and a spiritual leader in the community. I sing, rap, act, dance, model, host events, and also help develop and song write for other artists. I take pride in being an entrepreneur & activist. I own several businesses, such as my healing crystal jewelry & apparel brand (@beadingheartz) and my community healing service (@healingourbeatingheartz). And I’m also a painter. Acrylic on cotton canvas is my preferred medium. My art can be viewed and purchased on my Art Instagram: @indi.artz

What truly sets me apart from others is my ability and the work ethic I put into being a jack of all trades and a master of all. A lot of people don’t know the rest of what that cliché actually says: “A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one.”

It was actually a compliment. But people love to focus on the hate and jealousy when they are envious to see God’s body beings living in ALL of their gifts and not setting boundaries for themselves.

I’m boundless, and everything I do, I do with love, so I win.

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
I have three music projects dropping this year. The 1st is titled “Songs Eye Wrote About U B4 U Sucked” EP. It’s a collection of love songs that will be the prequel to the “BLKLILITH” EP.

The “BLKLILTH” EP is scheduled to be released on August 25th, 2022, which is actually my birthday. It’s a ritual of mine to always give a gift of healing to my fans on my solar return. “BLKLILITH” is a collection of music about women’s empowerment, self-love, and finding your way back to God through the dark times through shadow work and dedication to self.

The final project dropping in 2022 is the highly anticipated Pakk Music Group produced “GOD COMPLEX” EP, which is scheduled to come out on November 11th, 2022. This seven track EP, fully produced by heavy hitter Python P, is all about my ascendance into this new level of being. It’s about me coming into the realization that I am truly a God’s body being in this human flesh. My spirit is of the universe. I have nothing to stress because God is always with me.

The storyline from the 1st album (“Songs Eye Wrote About U B4 U Sucked”) to the last (“GOD COMPLEX”) is the story of me coming out of my depression. I used to be suicidal as a teenager and attempted suicide at least three times. Since then, it’s been a constant cycle of renewal, regeneration, and transformation. I’m proud to have done the work to be the being I am today. I’m happy my attempts to cross over were never successful. I’m glad God had a plan for me, as she does with us all, and I was able to hear it before it was too late. This is why I work so hard to heal my people and love everyone so purely.

Also, look out for my huge erotic experience party August 26th, 2022 in Downtown Los Angeles, CA.

We will be celebrating my birthday, as well as the “BLKLILITH” EP release, where I’ll be putting on a full concert of the whole project. There will also be special guest performers, as well as live painting, goody bags, and more!
