Meet Miles Jamieson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Miles Jamieson.

Hi Miles, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I was born and raised in Minneapolis Minnesota, I’ve always been creative and focused on making the best art possible. I started in visual arts. I painted up until I was 16. I’ve been classically trained in oil painting but I fell out of love for it eventually, I really don’t know why. I began seriously making my own music at the age of 16, I started becoming obsessed with mixing vocals and experimenting with my vocal range. This led to me developing my own style of music and vocal inflection. It was purposeful at first and became unintentional once I really started putting in hours recording myself. During that time, I created my stage name originally 3m which eventually became 3miles after a few years. I created the name 3m after a character in the movie paid full Money Making Mitch (Miles). I then developed my discography. I’ve dropped over 15+ projects within six years. Most of my most personal feelings and emotions are within a lot of the music I created throughout that time. Many of those projects are either gone forever buried in the internet. A lot still remains to this day. While creating that music, I graduated high school and moved to Atlanta and focused on creating music that will change the world. This year I’ve dropped a song every Monday and I’m preparing to release three projects this April one joint project with the artist Madara TBH, one with producer Crayons, and the last is just remixes to some of my favorite songs.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There’s been ups and downs. I’ve doubted myself so many times I can’t count. I’ve really cried about this shit some times it doesn’t even feel real that anyone cares. I’m blessed regardless, but I always knew my reality could change if I really put my mind to it and I’ll always believe that. I’ve really been through two failed management negotiations, I’ve had shows canceled, songs deleted forever, and I’ve lost relationships. But the journey’s been filled with positives that outweigh the negatives and I’ve been given the choice to respond emotionally to either and I’d rather stay focused on the end goal life is too short.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m an artist. I make what I comes from my heart. I guess I’m known for being a vocal artist but I pursuing avenues I want to expand beyond music and really dive into different mediums. I’ve already done visual art for years but I’d love to design a house or possibly some furniture.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
My mother deserves the most credit she fueled my desire to be creative to want to focus on art because she believed in me before I did. She always pushed me to be the best version of myself in every way. I can’t put into words the impact she’s had on my life. I’d also like to thank the guys. Especially my bros Christian and Donovan who believed in my music years before I did. Also, my father who influenced my taste in music and overall love for hiphop in general. There’s really too many people who’ve made an impact on my life to even name.
