Thanks for sharing your story with us Tamiko. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My career as an Empowerment Coach/Consultant & Speaker was birthed from my own personal experience of being emotionally and spiritually wounded from toxic relationships, childhood experiences, generational curses and just life experiences in general. Because I didn’t want to see other women suffer that way that I did, I created a platform that empowers women to move past their hurts and pains by understanding the lesson in what they went through. Allowing them to turn their wounds into wisdom so that they can have a healthy, successful future filled with love, trust, purpose, and peace.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has not always been a smooth road. Entrepreneurship in itself is not easy, especially when you are in the business of coaching people in the area of personal development. Most people don’t realize that they need coaching or are afraid to admit it. Early on, I had a difficult time securing clients and getting prospective clients to understand the importance of the service that I was providing.
It wasn’t until I began to be authentic and transparent by sharing my own personal story and testimony that my business began to flourish. Over the years, I’ve learned to always remain authentic and true to myself and my brand. It’s ok to be original. It’s ok to be different. It’s ok to be vulnerable and transparent. Reveal your uniqueness and let people know that you are one of a kind. Life is too short to live it trying to be anything other than your true, original self. Be who you are, and be it the best way you know how.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
If I had to start over, I would’ve asked for help and mentorship when I needed it. I tried to do it all on my own. I’ve grown to realize that there are people out there who have already walked your journey who are willing to help you along the way. Seek out mentorship from someone you admire or who has already walked the road you are walking. It will save you a lot of time and make your journey a lot easier.
