Hi Taylor, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
On January 5, 2021, I received an email from IT stating, “Contractor will be terminated as of 1/6/21”. It came as a huge shock being that I was with the company for three years, was a top performer and just received a promotion. I was let go in the middle of a pandemic and I had to think quickly but rationally about my next moves. I was heavily interested in short-term rentals such as Airbnb and took the opportunity to learn how to navigate the short-term rental industry.
Although I was making good money at my previous job, a lot of it wasn’t saved so my account was a little slim. I was thankful that the stimulus check and tax refund came in when they did! I took that money and invested it into my first short-term rental in Dallas, Tx!!! My husband and I flew to Dallas for five days and had our unit up and running with bookings coming in immediately! Our 3rd stay was a guest who stayed three months so I took that money and invested in two more units in Atlanta.
That’s when my business really took off! I tapped into a great market and was rewarded instantly. The information I learned was too good NOT to share which is when I decided to teach others how to own their own short-term rental companies. I’m always looking at the long game. There are so many properties in the world to obtain and I’m not going to obtain them all, so why not give others the opportunity to earn passive income.
I started off by teaching family and friends for a paid price to test my knowledge. Once I knew what I had was GOLD, I structured my course and put it out to the masses. My social media pages show the genuine appreciation of the students that I’ve taught. Knowing that I’m changing lives is changing mine in the best way possible!
I began by just wanting to make enough money to stay home with my kids and turned my investments into a 6-figure business within a year! My Facebook community, “The Art of Airbnb by Taylor B Made”, has grown to over 350 members and the testimonies are heartwarming! I also implemented my Lease Acquisition Package where I will acquire units for you to earn passive income. This allows my clients to have everything done for them so they can relax while my team puts in the hard work!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Nothing worth having is easy, right? The toughest part about this journey has been the time that I spend putting into it! I’m home with my kids, but I’m WORKING!!! I’m sitting next to my husband in the bed, but I’m on the phone! I’m thankful that my husband and children are supportive and appreciative of my contributions. It lets me know that everything I’m accomplishing is worth it!
