Today we’d like to introduce you to Cinque Singleton.
Hi Cinque, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I began my career when I was 13 years old. A few years later, because of Hurricane Katrina in 2005, my mom, sister and I relocated to Atlanta, Georgia and found happiness in a new place. Because I’ve always been observant, I developed an entrepreneurial mindset from observing my mom and all the hard work she has done, my passion at the age of 13 was graphic design, as well as motivational and inspirational speaker! I started to pay attention to the people around me and what they did, and I began to make connections with people who worked in my field of interest. It’s interesting how God places people in your life; my stepfather has always worked in the technology area, so I’ve always had someone to supply me with whatever I need for every project I’ve ever had, and I’m grateful for that!
How can I forget the man who gave me my first camera, and I often tell people that I learn from the greatest simply by watching and communicating to this amazing man I call my mentor, Joshua Thomas, the graphic designer himself! Then, after implementing all of the steps of observation, I began to teach myself about graphic design, and I began to create graphics for friends and family!
After I started learning about graphic design, it lead me down the path of photography and filmmaking. I decided to start teaching others how to become graphic designers on live via Instagram as I learned more about graphics and other things.
As my knowledge expanded, I became increasingly interested in assisting people in starting their own businesses and learning how to work as a freelancer while generating income.
I eventually started networking with ministers and other Atlanta-based businesses and industries!
And then God led me to become a motivational and inspirational speaker. I had always felt a pull and a calling on my life, but I always wanted to run away from it because I thought I had to change who I was, but one thing I had to realize is that you don’t have to change who you are to walk in your calling, you just have to have faith, and when I started going out to different churches and local businesses to speak, eventually I started a faith based group Chosen Nation Generation.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The path to becoming an entrepreneur and leading a youth faith-based organization is never easy. It’s shocking to launch a business and a youth group on faith, not knowing whether it will succeed or fail. But, while there are those who believe in you, there are also those who believe you will fail! That has always been beneficial in faith, life, and business! And I’m thankful that this has resulted in my success.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a millennial motivational speaker, graphic designer, social media marketer, photographer/videographer, and photographer/videographer!
I not only provide a service, but I also combine faith and business. That is what differentiates me and my company from others.
I’m most proud to be the owner of a company and a youth group that you can rely on and to whom you can turn if you’re unsure what to do next!
I want readers to know that (New Visionz Productions Co.) service is unrivaled, and that if given the opportunity, they will see how committed we are to providing the best service possible to our clients!
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
Yes, another of my mentors who I look to when it comes to entrepreneurship and business building is Nehemiah Davis!
Also, Dr. David E. Jackson, my incredible mentor, who has always been a father figure in my life and has been there for me when it comes to faith and entrepreneurship etc. And who is also the overseer of my youth group.
Every name and book is familiar to me. If I had the opportunity, I would name everyone, but I am grateful to God for providing me with excellent leaders and mentors who have helped me thrive in every aspect of my life!
