Today we’d like to introduce you to Tarrin Cox.
Tarrin, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I am a Salon owner, serial business owner, cheerleading coach, and ambassador for the Kingdom of God.
If it would not have been for God, I would not be where I am today. Bottom line. I give him alone all of the Glory for my story. I am blessed and honored to be able to share with you all my journey and success.
I have been a licensed master cosmetologist since 2016. Specializing in children’s haircare, natural haircare and all other beauty services. I quickly realized that providing beauty and haircare services were my passion. And not just that but as well as the youth. I have a background in Early childhood and education. Giving me the opportunity to have encountered many classrooms and being that impactful, positive influence to our youth. Which is heavily needed now in this time and age. So, I asked myself what more could I do? To be more impactful and reach more children positively outside of the salon and classroom. Which lead me to becoming a cheer coach. I have been coaching for four years and I absolutely love it.
I have experienced many trials and tribulations. But God. I always push through and persevere. When I keep my trust and focus on him. He never ceases to amaze me by keeping me, elevating me and setting me in places I have yet to go. By placing my name in rooms, I have yet to step foot in. So I am and will forever be grateful.
Because that is ultimately how you all encountered and pursued me. By the Grace of God. Which leads me to my next and final point. Trust God with all your heart and lean not into your own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge him and he shall direct your paths. (Proverbs 3:5-7NKJV)

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
The biggest struggle along the way was Tarrin Vs. Tarrin. I was my biggest enemy, critic, I was in my own way the entire time. It was me I was the obstacle.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My heart is what sets me apart. People always tell me that my biggest asset is that I genuinely love and care for others. And their needs. Wanting the very best for everyone. Seeing no wrong. Loving with the heart and mind of Christ.
These assets alone have helped me to prosper in my businesses, coaching and being an ambassador for the Kingdom of God.
Whenever you sit in my salon know that it’s going to be an experience. You will be blessed from the inside out. I do not just provide beauty services but I mentor, counsel, pray, give resources to my clients. You will not leave the same way you came. LITERALLY. The same goes for when I am coaching or ministering. YOU WILL NOT LEAVE THE WAY YOU CAME. It’s the God in me.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I define success by ultimately walking the path that God set out before me. No matter what it looks like or feels like. Knowing that if I do not get weary in well doing I will reap if I faint not!
