Today we’d like to introduce you to Jamil Thigpen.
Hi Jamil, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started from the bottom. I was homeless and walking circles around Douglas county. I stayed down and worked for enough money to buy a camera and some equipment to pursue photography. One of my fam called me about promoting at a club on Martin Luther King Jr in Sw Atlanta and from there, I just kept grinding for the dream and Al thought it has not pass on full succession yet I judge the following buildup and support behind me to push this venture to the top. We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been a bumpy road. I have been doing all this while being homeless trying to reset my journey in life. But through my struggles, I’ve found opportunities to create a better horizon.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I promote and create content for artists, vendors, and fashion events. I create avenues and venues for these creators to showcase their talents. It has been a journey to gain access to these venues. I started networking during my security days and since have used those resources and people to excel my journey.
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Stay ambitious, stay humble, stay positive. The road will never be easy and there will be a lot of roadblocks in your way as you create your brand. Don’t let anyone discourage you and keep your trade secrets, don’t share too much only give out information that’s necessary to the mission. Friends and Success don’t always work hand in hand.
