Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittney Greer.
Hi Brittney, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
It all started with me dancing at the age of seven years old. I launched into fitness by perfecting the art of dance by exercising. I believe to be the best you have to train to be the best. So I started working out consistently. I entered in college at the age of 19. Once I received my associate’s degree in Fine Arts from HCC central, I ventured off teaching dance at several Studio’s and School’s in the Houston inner city. Once established as a professional dance teacher/choreographer for over six years, I started to ponder about my interest in fitness more than before. I considered to look into studying for my certification as a personal trainer. I enrolled shortly after obtaining information on how to become a certified personal trainer. After six months of learning and grasping the knowledge in this field, I finally acquired my certificate in National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). By 2019 I was declared a certified trainer. When the hurdle was crossed and the moment came; I soon after started training clients independently. As a result of massive results and satisfied clients, I started my own fitness business. I thought long and hard on what I wanted to base my business name on and the purpose for starting a fitness legacy. Then it dawned on me, Endless Resilience Fitness. Resilience is the ability to recover rapidly from difficulties and I want my clients to know that I am on this journey with them. I hold them accountable to their goals. Their will be hardships in this process but with consistency, the results will show the work that has been done has not went in vein.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I went through a time where I lost myself within a failed marriage. I forgot my identity and self-worth. I felt lost and alone with abandonment issues. I was physically and mentally abused, unappreciated, lied to and cheated on. My self-esteem became low and I was comfortable in this place of living. I needed to pull myself out of this rut for the sake of my daughter. So I prayed for God to remove me from my situation and in due time, that’s just what he did. He is an on time God.
We’ve been impressed with ER Fitness, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Fitness training requires a lot of personal interaction. My clients open up to me about personal issues that leave them doubtful on why they started their goals in the first place. For this reason, I am compassionate and caring. There is so much hate in this world so forth. I am super empathic when they lean to me with their most confidential secrets. Therefore I’m training their bodies with resilience and at the same time, I’m training their minds with resilience. I pride myself in my abilities to cross any obstacle that gets in their path. Encouragement and sensitivity in one’s process in this journey goes a long way in this business. Once you have a client that has opened up to you, their trust factor and their relationship with you goes a long way. I’ve made good friends with clients just on this aspect in this business alone. I am very blessed to have a certain light that shines that God has placed in me to be lead purposeful. Now even tho I empathize with personal issues, I don’t deal with excuses too kindly. I am a hard ass when I need to be. Some clients like to give up before they even started the race and I’m there to reassure them that you will not get rid of me that easily. I am persistent in the commitment that was made and we will reach our goals one way or another. ‘We can do this the easy way or the hard way”. That is my go to phrase when they have those lazy, careless and passive demeanors. In due time they see the results and usually hate me in the beginning but love me in the end. I specialize in one on one training that includes cardio, HITT training, weight training, stretch and conditioning, core training and glute gainz. I also teach classes such as Zumba, Line Dance, Step Class, Kickboxing and Bootcamp. I am a jack of all trades when it comes to dance and fitness
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I start all new clients with an assessment to get to know them and their goals in fitness training. I am very reliable and I ask that my clients understand my time is valuable just as much as theirs. I lead my clients in the path of success with healthy nutritional tips. They have to understand it’s a lifestyle change that involves hard work and dedication. Bad eating habits will only prolong the process.
