Latoya Wilson is a woman of faith, a wife and mother of three beautiful children, ambitious motivational speaker, and woman of purpose! Violated as a little girl, living in a hotel as a young woman, and depressed and consumed with the hardships she experienced with child and domestic abuse, Latoya found healing in God. She reached deep into her soul and tapped into the “dark secrets” that consumed her, set her heart and spirit free and thus began her journey towards empowering others who had experienced similar circumstances. LaToya is an enthusiastic mind-shifter determined to bring on change through her efforts to help women that have allowed life’s circumstances to keep them stuck… Her passion for empowering and motivating women and families have inspired her to volunteer her time and efforts to help nonprofit organizations in and around the Atlanta, Georgia area. Through her charitable works, she aspires to start a nonprofit organization that will help women eradicate pretexts for accepting abuse and create solutions that foster personal, financial, accountability and empowerment through workshops, career and life coaching programs, and incorporate spirituality through resources such as daily devotionals. Latoya believes and pledges that a changed mindset creates a transformed life. Latoya’s warrior mindset allows her to not only cover herself but tap into the warrior life-force in others. She strongly relies on her faith in God; His word is the cornerstone for the person that she is today and empowers her to grow stronger and deepen her faith in being a conquer. She also has a heart for the elderly community as her deceased grandmother instilled alot of things in her before she transitioned as well as her remaining live grandmother who also was a carefiver for many years. She has worked as Healthcare professional for the last 15 years before covid. Latoya also owns and runs Crowned Glam Accessories where she empowers women and families to change the trajectory of their lives by means of five dollar jewelry. It is also a tool she uses to empower them with self-confidence and to live their lives boldy and unapologetically, doing what needs to be done to get to a better version of themselves daily.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s hard getting people to kill their own excuses and sometimes the rejection from others is discouraging. When people don’t see the vision, or at least recognize when their help has arrived sometimes it makes you question yourself and your value. Like is this really what I’m supposed to be doing. Finding balance with all my heart’s desires and making sure I’m serving my family well.
