Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaffar Toombs.
Hi Jaffar, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Well, when it comes to my story lol, it’s a movie but when it comes down to Fearless curves magazine, it’s a movement, I wanted to make a change in the modeling industry as well as in the plus-size community. So in early mid-2000’s, I started the fearless curves magazine aka Team fearless curves movement and been going strong ever since. I have various branches within Fearless Curves Magazine such as: Team Fearless Curves (TFC), Ladies of Fearless Curves elites (LOFC). Fearless Curves South, Fearless Curves East, Fearless Curves West. FCM is a powerhouse and we are going to Suge Knight this industry to open up doors for the plus-size community. We have Fearless curves Photography and for models and talent, I started JPT Model Management which also helps with promotions and more. In 2019 I started a clothing brand for my curvy plus size women called Fearless curves Apparel, custom made t-shirts and outfits plus more, and I didn’t forget the guys out there; we have the “Fearless Men” Line coming soon.
New things are coming for 2022 and a few doors are opening up for the Plus Size community but there’s a lot more work to do out there and that’s what fearless curves mag movement is here for.
I must shout out those that’s a part of this team and movement as well as those that helped and never turned their back or walked away when times got ruff but much love to those that stood strong.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Never a smooth ride and always ruff you have to deal with broken promises, fake scamming companies, models that say they want to model and really don’t. Plus so much more and it’s a rollercoaster ride but you have to hang on say your prayers keep your faith and don’t stop, don’t give up and I say that to myself everyday.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
What sets me apart from others is that Fearless curves magazine is a movement and no one is stopping us no one is doing what we are doing and started in this game…
I’m a man with many hats and what I do, I try to do my best at it. I’m known for my photography work as well as for my clothing designs, my magazines, music, plus more can say too much; they have to learn me on their own, lol.
Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
Find some that is going to be real with you and someone that listens and understands what your trying to do or doing. Networking is everything some people forget that even those that made it and sitting on their high horse… connect with people that’s on the same page or that can make things happen. Your going to run into a lot of fakes that’s going to make it seem like they want to help or they see your vision blah blah just be smart, don’t rush, don’t move fast, it’s chess not checkers.
