Hi Clarice, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Fall of 2019, my husband (Joesph) and I were sitting with friends and family and they were all saying you two have turned into real hookah Cannessauers. One day riding home I was on the phone with joejoe (husband) and he was saying how he thinks we would kill hookah hosting while riding home from work, I stopped at the local smokeshop just to price and ended up buying three hookahs, I took it home and shouted let’s do it!! We obtained all our licenses January 2020. In the midst of getting our start-up and promoting hosting COVID hit hard and I was laid off my job May 2020. Sitting and looking at all the items we bought. We got to thinking how can this be flipped but still be covid safe. So here we are, the first and only mobile smoke shop in GA we offer curbside pick or delivery. All products we bought we sold retail out of our Yukon truck all over Decatur and Atlanta area for about a year. Now we have a fully wrapped econoline van that Joejoe has converted himself on the inside. Our twist to our mobile smoke shop is our known quarantine package (comes with two shisha flavors, tips, coal and foil). We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road has been rocky due to code enforcement not allowing our van to be in certain parking lots despite having licenses and written permission from owners.
As you know, we’re big fans of Hookah Expressions/H.E.R. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
e are mobile smoke/hookah shop and also own H.E.R our sister company that sells men/ women clothing, lashes and accessories. We have a unique aspect the average smokeshop tends to sell products but not show the customer how to use them. We believe if we educate you on the products, you the customer are more prone to return because of great customer service. We have a lot of older customers that appreciate the education on CBD products there tends to be a stigma on cbd and the effects but with the right education our customers who have body aches or insomnia come back.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
We love that when we pull up in our van we are showered with love and people see the vision. Our dislike price bargaining people tend want to negotiate on a price that is already discounted.
