Hi D.Ayisha, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I grew up under my grandfather’s wing mostly. Any event or business venture he was involved in, he brought me along most of the time. He showed me the ropes, wanted me to learn more, and always encouraged entrepreneurship. He had plenty of ventures and more ideas to come. He was always doing something. One of his biggest ventures was the Sweet Auburn Spring Festival. Charles Johnson was the “Mayor of Sweet Auburn” and the ultimate entrepreneur. He didn’t just show me how things work in the business realm. He coached others as well. I believe that’s where I got the drive to mentor and to start ventures and businesses of my own. I want to help others help themselves and help them turn their ideas into a money-making machine. That’s why I started MPowered Consulting. You may have ideas of your own and just don’t know where to start to implement them. You may want to start a business but you just don’t know what to start because you don’t have someone in your corner guiding you through your passions and showing you how you can turn them into entrepreneurial endeavors. That’s what I’m here to do. To help you. Help the community grow.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Starting MPowered Consulting hasn’t been as smooth as I thought it could be. Nothing in life doesn’t come with ups and downs and bumps in the road. Starting this business and opening a commercial location has taught me a lot already about putting in work and being patient and networking with others. I’m learning that I’m going to have to get out of my comfort zone in order to make this work and that has been one of the hardest things for me. But I know I’m the end, all the struggling will be worth it.

I have to thank my close circle of family and friends for supporting me, helping me clean and revamp my new building, sharing my business posts, telling their circles about MPowerd and what we have to offer, pitching my ideas to others on my behalf, and just wanting to see me do great things and to see my business thrive.
