Today we’d like to introduce you to Mary Tabor.
Hi Mary, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I was driving to Atlanta every week for acting classes and decided I was tired of the long drives. So in 2016, I made the moved to Atlanta from North Augusta, SC. The big move changed my world, and I found new passions while continuing to grow in the acting community.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Juggling my life as an actor while starting a business has not been easy. Both keep me very busy, and of course, I want to be successful in both. Opening a business meant learning new marketing skills, building a website, and so much more. It has definitely been a learning curve, and it still is!
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I teach autistic children ways to workout that fit their needs. I break things down for their understanding and sometimes it can be slow but over time there is always improvement and new skills learned. Everyone deserves to be happy and healthy.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I grew up as a competitive dancer in my mother’s dance studio and that helped me with so much. I wouldn’t be where I am today without it. I would not have known the stage and the acting world if I wasn’t already a dancer. And I wouldn’t have found my passion for movement and teaching if I didn’t dance and teach at my mother’s studio.
