Meet Yvette Hunter

Today we’d like to introduce you to Yvette Hunter.

Hi Yvette, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
It makes me feel warm inside to put a smile on someone’s face, I’ve always been arts and craftsy. This takes arts and crafts to the next level. I do operates the business by myself. I offer customers the ability to customize their orders / baskets. “When the customer calls me, I ask what their vision is, and also what the price point is,” BUDGET is important in order to provide enough content for the baskets the budget has to be reasonable. “The customer can customize a gift basket with me. It’s more personal than buying a basket premade from a store or a catalogue. For example, ‘If He /She likes chocolate, but he/ she is allergic to nuts.’ I can give my client a chance to arrange what they want and what their needs are… One challenge for me was learning to pack the gift baskets, bags and boxes properly, especially for shipping. However, I still enjoy the challenge. “I get excited making baskets,” she said. “It’s kind of like engineering. I have to make it sit up and make sure it doesn’t fall… Though I do gift baskets and arrangements for individuals, I have been targeting corporate Realtors, offering “welcome home” arrangements and closing gifts; arrangements for medical centers wishing to gift their staffs; and hotels hosting large groups. I could do 300 customize gift baskets for any event. Some of my most popular baskets include the fishing basket, Barbie basket, & Bride to be. I can make any theme basket you want.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I am not afraid to show up on social media as who I am. I do not try to be something I am not, but rather instead love being able to show the real people I’m grinding hard for V.Hunterlooks. I think the most important factor behind my success has to be to never give up. Never forget the vision and what you’re doing it for. There has been so many times where I doubted myself and just wanted to give up. Being able to stay on a certain path and always remind myself what is coming for me when I reach the end are the things that help me be successful. I absolutely love what I do, and am extremely passionate about my work and helping others. I truly treat each person as the individual they are and customize every single customize basket, decor & more! I genuinely care about their client and learned during this pandemic that I’m the best version of myself when I am able to help others. I am always learning and evolving. The most important factor is having pure intentions, keeping God 1st while having peace of mind. if you don’t feel it, don’t force it.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
All praise to God for exposing me to the truth, my mother the late Carolyn Paulk (R.I.P) keeping me focused on this pathway to success, eliminating the distractions out of my life & leading towards destiny. Also, My family and peers for the support and overflow of love…

What do you like and dislike about the city?
When my friends come back to visit Atlanta, I would love to experience The Garden Room an enchanting garden bar & small plate dining experience. Afterward, we’d do a little shopping at my favorite accessory boutique, Modern Episode, Target, Tjmax, Publix and hit up a few of the Atlanta historical sites. Then we’d drive up to Marietta to do a little more shopping and possibly catch a Braves game at the Battery. I do not have any dislikes.
