Meet Marlana Tucker

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marlana Tucker.

Hi Marlana, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Before 2020 during the initial quarantine, I was just your everyday working single mom. Soon after the panic of the pandemic, I lost my job The business had shut down. I had just moved to L.A specifically to work there. Thankfully I had money saved from caretaking and housekeeping. In November 2020, I went from staying with friends to now moving into my own apt. I had lost so much and so many people during the hardest months of 2020 My stepdad, my bestfriend, my cousin, to name a few. I had to realize what I still had and how I was still blessed to have my health, family and friends. I went to therapy, which was one of the best decisions of my life. I advice everyone to go, it’s amazing for your mind and soul. Through it all my motivation is my children (Kaitlyne and Kaneshia), the way the live me is unmatched! I want to give them the world and I will! I also love helping my community, teaching the young people daily affirmations, and it’s the self-love for me. Having a solid support system is important. It only takes 1 solid person, one solid friend, mentor, or companion. But Sometimes it will be no one and you’ll have to love myself enough to keep going! I was able to do it! I realized I was going thru an awakening. It was showing me that it was time to turn my pursuit of purpose into a active passion of reality. Will my wants into existence and just go for it!! I’m still growing and learning on this journey to health and wealth. I set some goals, some achieved some not YET! Like launch an online shop, become a fashion model, own a lucrative business (not paid for outta pocket) , build wealth with a companion, invest in real estate, travel the world, then sell webinars about how we did it. Things like that. I’m not perfect but that’s some goals! By June 2021 I was picked to do a photoshoot and model designs for my friend Justace (editor of Pink Gang Magazine). I decided to book myself some shows. Then October 2021 I booked a runway fashion show with CIE Magazine by Damian Sanders for Los Angeles Fashion Week. I was also published in their magazine (January 2022 issue). At the CIE Fashion Magazine event. I was invited to officially walk in the GS Fashion Show for Los Angeles Fashion Week. I was able to network with some of L.A’s fashion creatives. I secured a brand ambassador agreement with an L.A based hair care company Vonte Products, Ajabukabisa Skin California based skin care line by Shanita Williams. By December 2021 was asked to be “Miss March” in Coffee Brown Entertainment 2022 Calendar. March 29th 2022 I was interviewed and published by Jason Armond in Los Angeles Times as a “model, entreprenuer and community leader”. Gratitude to Semajae and Itzel founders of “Providing Platforms LA” for the opportunity. Modelling has led me right back to my aspirations and goals of entrepreneurship and community. I’ve modelled in and hosted numerous fashion shows and charity events. The adventures of beginning my modeling career, has had its challenges and advantages. I could always use more valuable resources, mentors and knowledge. Shoutout to my sister Angel for lifetime mentorship.

My ultimate goal is owning and organizing multiple businesses, stocks and real estate. I started writing, planning and developing a new podcast and multiple businesses including: Housekeeping business, dessert/ food business, hosting/ coordinating art / culture related community events, and of course my candle business. I’m going to build an empire of six figure businesses. Remember the name “Choclit Dollhouse LLC.” Mark my words. Little by little or over night, dreams do come true!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t been easy or a smooth road but it has been very much a continuous learning experience. A series of awakening and reality checks. I’ve enjoyed growing and watching myself evolve. I look forward to the next level and the level after that and the one after that! Lol. I never want to stop elevating.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
Don’t just know your worth, VALUE IT! I learned this the hard way. Don’t work for free! Get something out of it! Period!! Self-love is key to the door of healing.. Healing is the key to health. Believing in yourself in the key to the door of manifesting. We already understand knowledge is the key to power and discipline is the master key that opens both doors to sacrifice and success. Healthy Boundaries are the keys to it all. Emotional intelligence is the key to a productive mindset. I have to remind myself of these when I see myself getting off track. Hey, it also helps to have a real one, in your corner invested in your growth as well. It really sets the bar. Oh and fast from social media sometimes, tune out of them and tune it to you!!
