Life & Work with Tierra London

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tierra London.

Hi Tierra, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’m a radical Christian who has a passion for helping, encouraging, serving, inspiring, and shaping young women into their destiny and purpose. I started in 2018 with my first Silence No More Brunch. I also started creating daily Christian content to encourage the masses. Shortly after I launched my podcast show entitled “Rare and Radical”. In 2020 during the pandemic, I released my first e-book entitled “Mission Possible. I’ve always had a desire to help because when people hear my testimony, it is living proof that it doesn’t matter where you come from, but trusting God, having faith, and being teachable will take you far.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Absolutely not. I’ve cried a lot of days. I’ve had my days when I doubted my ability to do what I’ve been created to do. I’ve taken private losses. I’ve went through seasons of stripping where God has had to remove certain things and people. I’ve had setbacks. I’ve received a lot of no’s during the process but through it all, I do believe my resilience and faith in God has kept me in the race. I’m extremely grateful for the journey. It’s shown me that when you truly believe in what you’re called to do, no matter how many times you get knocked down, you get back up, dust yourself off, and try again. The race isn’t given to the swift but to the one who endures to the end.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’ve been in the financial industry for seven years this year. I’ve been in banking since 2015 and I’ve learned so much. I’ve gained so much knowledge in this field. The financial industry has evolved since I first began, and I think with anything you do in life, having a willing spirit to yield, grow, and be challenged will take you far. I’ve worked in multiple areas of banking and I’ve had a leadership role for half the time of me serving in this area of my career. I’m most proud of my ability to withstand tests and trials and continuously pushing. What sets me apart is my ability to take a stand for what’s right, to be the voice for the people, and to treat everyone the same regardless of title, years in the field, and to always extend kindness.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Life will change quicker than you can blink. Life is full of surprises. Life is full of growing pains. Life is full of challenges, but what makes it all worth it is being true to yourself. Understanding who you are, your purpose, and what you’re called to do in the earth will always give you a reason to keep going in spite of what you may go through. Being kind, living a life of humility, and not allowing life’s challenges to throw you of course has been one of the most important lessons along my journey. Life will change but you don’t have to let it change you. Stay true to who you are and let God do the rest is what I live by now.
