Conversations with Pamela Edge

Today we’d like to introduce you to Pamela Edge.

Hi Pamela, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
When I first started making jewelry it started as a hobby. I’ve always loved creating things. So I would create things for my family, friends, and coworkers. One year I decided to do something different for my coworkers for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I decided to spruce up our ordinary plan pink ribbons. I added a couple of seed beads and I made bracelets to match. Everyone loved them. It became a thing where I would make accessories for holidays or any events we would have. It’s not until cleaning through some items I had stored away after moving that I came across old material and immediately decided to start my business I started off with bracelets & candles. The candles weren’t much of a success. I found more pleasure making bracelets. And that’s how AdmireMeEdge was created. Since I’ve added polymer clay earrings to my collection. My inspiration for earrings came from some cool and unique pieces I’ve seen online. So today I offer all accessories for men women and children with the option to customize. Online.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My biggest struggle would be when COVID hit. I was just getting my business started. I was networking with a group of amazing women. Small Business Owners like myself. My jewelry was in local boutiques and then the world shut down. So eventually the storefronts shut down. So I had to transition to online sales full-time. It was a real challenge. Trying to run ads, showing up on social media knowing what to post and when to post.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My work is my passion. Each piece of jewelry is handmade and thoughtfully designed by me.

What’s next?
My plans for Summer 2022. I will be offering a Mobile Bead Bar service. Its a mobile service that goes to clients for any and every special event playdates, birthday parties, girls day/ night out etc… The Mobile Bead Bar is creative and fun for everyone The Bar includes all material needed for one beaded bracelet or necklace

Depending on the success of my mobile service I would love to open an actual storefront possible all over Georgia.
