Check Out Ke the Kid’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ke the Kid.

Ke the Kid, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
In 2010 – I started making gfx, and promoting for local artists in the city of Baton Rouge, LA – and honestly took a liking to it. After finding myself in the work I was creating and Participating in. I started promoting myself and others via Twitter. I gained recognition from artist “Mista Cain” of Cain Muzik LLC, where he took me under his wing as his social media PR – I started learning the music business which made me want to develop myself as an artist. A few years passed and I changed my name from Kaleel Cain to Ke The Kid to fully get into artist mode to pursue my dream of being an artist under my own administration; which I had no clue of what it should be or called.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Along this journey of becoming a better me, a better artist, a better promoter and PR – came some struggles. Separating myself from Cain Muzik – Creating a whole new image when the one prior was barely “stamped or solidified.” Was not easy at all. When you gain relationships solely on you knowing another person with higher status than you; And they see you and said person Aren’t working together I’ve seen in public people then tend to question your affiliation. That was my struggle. Starting over building No Label The Label from nothing.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Recording Artist under my own administration “No Label The Label” I’m best known for my adlibs & melodies. I’m most proud of the most recent song I’ve recorded. You can tell it’s me when you see me.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
Nunu James was the first person to put me in the studio with a beat that he produced free of charge, Mista Cain; He Really help me build a face card and taught me a lot about myself just working with him via social media. ThatsLando provided me with my own studio equipment and production- including mix and master, beats. Lovely Peaches help me gain recognition after my separation from Cain Muzik. She promoted me on social media and I’ve gained a lot of streams and fans thanks to Her.
