Life & Work with Victoria Raymond

Today we’d like to introduce you to Victoria Raymond.

Hi Victoria, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hello I am Victoria known as Vicky Rae spa. I’m a New York City native coming out of the Bronx. I’m a mother, grandmother and a fiancé. I have a background in office settings which I was so tired of. I relocated to Atlanta to not only change careers but become my own boss. Atlanta screams entrepreneurs so it felt good. I’ve always been passionate about clean, clear & healthy skin. However in ny I never thought of making it my career. I enrolled in esthetician school full time and within 6-7 months I took the state board exam, passed and now I’m a licensed esthetician. Now I am able to share & service others with beauty regimens fit for them & it makes me the happiest. It was definitely my calling.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
So looking back in retrospect I can say the challenges were semi smooth. However there were definitely some bumps in the road that kept me humble. Just as an example I’ve always had horrible test anxiety so preparing for the state exam was overwhelming to say the least. But I pushed through.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
So I would love for your readers to know that I pride my spa on being 95% disposable. All tools are either disposed or cleaned & sanitized with barbicide. Also I always try to keep the spa fun according to different skin types. Every season I seek out organic ingredients that are in season that will help different skin types based on the benefits of the ingredients. I specialize in facials, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, high frequency & many more treatments that I’m always focused on perfecting. With all services I also allow my clients to personalize their experience by choosing their music genre & their essential oils.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I feel my sophistication in my spa allows me to be successful even if I know you personally I always keep the experience professional & relaxing. I always treat clients how I like to be treated when serviced. I remember why I started the business & stay authentic this really helps with my success
