Community Highlights: Meet Erik Oden of Eazy Images

Today we’d like to introduce you to Erik Oden.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
It all started my senior year in high school in 2008 when I was a part of a video program to where I can start visualizing my ideas and putting my ideas into reality. Started off with a canon camera to where I didn’t know much about shooting nor editing. My brother was already in the photography world so he was more of my mentor on how to edit and angles and lighting. When I moved to Atlanta in 2012, I met so many models and photographers to where I was set up for success and got my first publication in 2015. After that, it was go time and grind time. Since then I have been published in several magazines, GEI Mag, EightySix BLVD Mag, OneTen Mag, 100K Mag, and Aye Ace Mag.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I wouldn’t say a smooth road, there are some challenges that I feel every photographer’s faces but for me struggles would be schedule conflict. I like to accommodate for everyone that books through me but sometimes I can’t work last minute. My prices are fair and you still get clients who can’t afford it or don’t want to pay the deposit. I say no deposit no shoot. But all in all, it’s been a great ride.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My business is simple. Taking a picture should be Eazy, I love what I do. What I specialize in more is boudoir shooting. I love the essence of a woman to show her off in natural lighting and let the audience see a true gem in the world. I can say this, my passion is to work with new up-and-coming models. I can show them how to pose and even get them published in a magazine. Majority of my models that have been published are new models and sometimes it was their very first shoot with me. I can help with poses, face structures, and body positioning. I also have several MUA that I use that are a part of my team as well.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
In this business what makes me happy is the smile on my client’s faces when they see the work and they absolutely love the work.
