Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Sue Carter Collins.
Hi Dr. Collins, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My professional background is in criminal justice, law, and academia. My careers in these areas span more than 40 years. Prior to retiring from Georgia State University in 2015 as an emeritus associate professor, I began to transition into a new career as a personal development coach and energy healer. I completed the LifeWorks Coaching Certification Program in 2014 and obtained certifications as a Reiki Master Teacher and Advanced Pranic Healer in 2015. I officially opened the Synergistic Healing Center of Atlanta in 2016. Today, in addition to speaking and training on a variety of leadership issues, I coach high-achieving women to overcome the imposter syndrome, master their mindset, elevate spiritually, and achieve their greatness goals.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I love this question! Lol! No, my life definitely has not been a smooth road. I’ve faced numerous personal challenges but somehow I managed to overcome them. I credit my faith for that. Perhaps the biggest challenge I’ve faced in business was learning to be a CEO. You see, although I had been in business for a while, prior to 2016 I had not taken to time to study the different aspects of business cultivation and management. In other words, I had clients but I didn’t know how to really run a corporation. What I’ve learned as a result of my experiences is that having a real business is a lot different from just having clients. In addition to having an idea, you must have a CEO mindset together with the right structures in place to support the business.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
The Synergistic Healing Center (SHC) of Atlanta provides executive life coaching, leadership training, and energy healing services for individuals and groups. We specialize in coaching dynamic women leaders who are already successful–and women who aspire to achieve this status–to connect with their true selves, elevate spiritually, and release limiting beliefs that stop them from achieving their next-level goals. We help women up-level their self-esteem and self-confidence, effectively address life challenges, and identify and overcome the Imposter Syndrome and other mental barriers that hold them back. As a result of participating in our programs, women are more successful than they ever thought possible.
What sets our executive coaching services apart from others is that we are a spiritual-based business. We start with the premise that greatness is our birthright and that each person gets to decide for herself what that looks like. In addition to traditional coaching techniques, we use a variety of metaphysical modalities including Reiki, Synergistic Energy Activation Techniques©, crystal healing, hypnosis, NLP, and past life regression to discover a client’s current reality and help her get from where she is to where she wants to be, which is how we define greatness.
Brand-wise, we are most proud of the fact that SHC has a history of repeat business. Our clients value the services that we provide and, in addition to providing referrals, return for additional support when it is needed. When asked what they love most about the company, our clients say they feel seen, heard, supported, and nurtured.
We are currently enrolling women in our 1-1 VIP Individualized Coaching Program, and our 9-month ReVision Your Life Group Coaching Program. Other services, including energy healing and Usui Reiki Certification training, are available on a continuing basis.
What would you say has been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I’ve learned on my journey is to NEVER GIVE UP. Even when it’s hard, never give up. When life knocks you down and things don’t go the way you want them to, or when the family isn’t there to support you when friends lie or desert you… Remember, this is your dream. God didn’t give it to anyone else so you can’t expect them to see what you see, know what you know, or want what you want. My best advice to others is to stay in spiritual alignment with the Creator, keep your eyes on the prize, lean into your fears, and, NEVER GIVE UP.
