Hi Debbie, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
With the help of my mom and sister, I started a luxury picnic business 3 months ago, People are often guilty of thinking there needs to be a “reason” to host a nice event. This business was started because I want people to celebrate not only the big things but also the little things, to have a picnic just because. We have set up picnics for newly engaged couples, birthdays, and parents celebrating their children’s successful completion of a school year. However big or small the occasion, we make sure it is an unforgettable experience!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
As with all things, starting and scaling a business takes time. But overall, this experience has been smooth because of the support of so many of our friends. Our friends have been our biggest supporters and (most of) our clients since day one! I’d say the support of the people in our corner have made this a smooth fun experience.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
The luxury experiences we create can be for things such as bridal showers, baby showers, and corporate events. Events don’t have to be outdoors. We have people saying I want to book a picnic event, but can’t take the heat. Tbh, same! Indoor set-ups are just as beautiful and a lot more cool.
And another thing you should know is that we also offer picnic experiences in the Montgomery, Alabama area.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
My mom and sister for always letting me bounce ideas off of them and helping run events in Alabama. My boyfriend and friends who have been true supporters of this business when it was just an idea.
