Hi Maat, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I began my company FEMMAGIC Dec. 5th, 2015 selling one of my best sellers VAGELIXIR. Vagelixir is a vaginal ph balancing elixir I created based off of an herbal remedy I used 16 years prior while pregnant with my first daughter. I was suffering from a vaginal infection and I didn’t want to take the antibiotics prescribed to me. I asked my midwife for some herbal remedies, applied it and went back to the doctor. They tested me and declared the infection all gone and cured. It was then I discovered the power of herbs.
Fast forward 16 years later, I bottled up the formula with some other researched herbs for BV, yeast infections, fibroids, then sold it on my new website FEMMAGIC.COM. By early 2020 I turned a four for figure a month company to a 7 figure Empire empowering women globally the natural herbal way.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I couldn’t pay my rent when I first launched my company with my three daughters fresh out of NYC in Atlanta. I started off with an online course where I made enough to cover rent but was still on welfare. I had to learn to be steadfast and keep my eyes on my goal with No Plan B. For me it plan A 1, Plan A 2, Plan A 3 until I figured it out. I had to learn marketing from trial and error which later took my business to a higher plateau.
