Hi SuperchargeKam, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born and raised in Atlanta, GA. I grew up throughout the city of Atlanta, but majority of my life I lived on the Westside of Atlanta. Growing up I was heavy into sports especially football and basketball. Staying busy with being an athlete is mostly how I would stay out of trouble. A lot of people don’t even know that side of my life as me being an athlete. I’m pretty sure I would’ve went professional if I wouldn’t have messed up my knee.
Before Instagram I use to race cars all the time. I am well known in the car world in Atlanta. Most people that know me know that my passion is within cars and the overall car world. That’s really what I was known for my ability to handle and drive anything with a motor.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
My road to success on Instagram started about two years ago. One day my friend and I was just playing around with skits. I uploaded my first video on “how Atlanta guys tell stories” and it went viral! It definitely surprised me, I wasn’t expecting the first video to go viral. My DM’s was flooded with other celebrities, family, and friends about the video. Everyone was telling me not to stop and to keep going/uploading. Most of my skits come from things I’ve been through and or just my daily life interactions. So now I’ve combined both the car world and comedy. I basically mix in car videos and comedy videos for my content on Instagram and YouTube. It’s crazy because when I first started everyone would say my material was too raw and too hood. But now you’ll see everyone doing hood skits and Atlanta skits. My purpose/motivation are the DM’s I get from people telling me how much I’ve turned their bad day around just from laughing. Or how I’ve gotten them through hard times by watching and laughing at my videos. If I would’ve listened to the negativity I wouldn’t be where I am to this day and this is only the beginning.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
SuperchargeKam isn’t just an Instagram name anymore, I’ve become a business owner as well. I would say motorsports and comedy is my specialty. I offer bookings from, ride alongs, skits, driving stunts and creative directing. I have a line up of different options for bookings including, muscle cars, dirt bikes, and UTV’s. The overall SuperchargeKam experience is something I am proud of. Whenever I’ve done a booking and or ride along I get an abundant amount of positive feedback. People go on and on about how my driving performance and or my comedy craft was delivered perfectly. I’m most proud of the fact that I can bring laughter and fun into this crazy world we live in. It’s the positive responses and DMs that keep me motivated.
What makes you happy?
Horsepower! Literally riding makes me happy. Between, cars, dirt bikes and UTV’s calms me anytime I crank up. Even as a baby, my mom told me that to get me to stop crying her and my dad would hop in the car and take a ride. There’s other things that people don’t get to see or that I don’t post. I’ve had someone’s mom call me one time because her son wanted to commit suicide. He is a huge fan and she asked me to talk to him. The fact that I was able to make a difference just by taking the time out to speak to him are moments that keep me going.
