Rising Stars: Meet Breahna Overton

Today we’d like to introduce you to Breahna Overton.

Hi Breahna, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
XO. Branding came about in a pretty unique way. I initially started an online clothing boutique right before the pandemic hit in 2020. The vision was there, the vibe, the passion and energy were all there. But what was missing was more so behind the scenes. Trying to market it to the right audience, wanting to make sure the branding was cohesive across all platforms. While trying to do it all and wear all the hats, I wanted to take a step back and really focus on the branding aspect of my clothing brand to make it as successful as it could be. In the midst of doing that, I was really enjoying coming up with the overall branding and marketing aspect for my business. I pressed pause on my online clothing boutique, XO. Wardrobe and started XO. Branding later that same year in November. Today, XO. Branding is currently helping small businesses and start-up businesses and companies with their branding. We specialize in: creating logos, websites, business cards, graphic design, motion graphics, create and edit videos. Our top service is Social Media Management. This is where we work directly with you, getting all of your social media planned, scheduled and created.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all, but it’s not supposed to be. I’ve had more than a few hiccups along the way being a self-taught branding strategist and I’m sure there are more to come. From creating my own website, learning how to deal with different types of clients to really learning dimension sizes for printouts and social media and learning that I will forever be tweaking my contracts that I draft, it’s been quite the ride. There were some times where I wouldn’t have any business at all. Those were the moments I felt like I would start to question myself and everything I was doing. In those same moments, I had to realize that I was just in a resting and reflection phase not knowing that God purposely sat me down for a minute so that I could appreciate my journey and also prepare for what was to come. Shortly after the very slow weeks of no work, I would have more clients at once than I thought I could handle. I’m appreciative for all of the ups and downs that I’ve gone through with my business and can’t wait to see where we will go.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
XO. Branding is a branding service that specializes in website building, logo design, business card design, video editing, promotional videos, flyer design, social media managing, business consulting and much more. Currently, we are largely known for Social Media Management and Graphic Design. I am most proud of the growth that I’ve seen from myself when it comes to my creativity with everything that I do. With every new project, I get more and more creative which excites me and makes me want to work harder. When someone chooses XO. Branding to help level up their brand, company, or business they’re not only receiving someone that will execute great detailed work but someone that cares about their brand as though it’s my own. Every brand I help, I’m very hands-on and I work closely with all my clients to bring their vision for their brand to life. The clientele that I’ve built with XO.Branding is like a family and they know they can always come back to me.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
To me, success looks like all the important areas in my life are at a level to my satisfaction. My mental, spiritual, work, financial, etc., are all good. Overall the feeling of blissfulness would define success to me. When I’m at the top of my game in all areas, I feel like I can’t be stopped and to me, to keep that momentum going and to be able to do what I enjoy doing for work would be for me a very successful life I’ve curated for myself.
