Hi Jasmine, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am a GA native, born in Decatur, raised in Lithonia/Stone Mountain, and played in Atlanta. I am a traditional birthworker, yoga instructor, and holistic wellness professional. This journey began shortly out of high school. My first trade was bartending and I’ve worked in every East Atlanta club there is, including a long stent at Obsessions/Libra/Premier1. Nightlife is exhilarating but also draining and triggering especially when you are grasping for a peaceful lifestyle. I was also a medical student looking for my way. My professor one day told me “medicine is 70% control, 20% treatment, and 10% healing, I found myself falling in love with the holistic wellness journey. I bought my doula books and yoga books the same night and headed towards a certification in both.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I am paving the road that I am on. So no, not smooth, and I didn’t expect it to be. There are other holistic professionals, yoga teachers, and birth workers that I admire, but each journey is unique. This shapes who I am, and what I have to offer.

Village G.U.R.U. is my umbrella company that pays homage to the area that I come from; Stone Mountain/Lithonia. This is a wellness community focused on Growth, Unity, Refinement & Understanding. I am passionate about providing guidance through wellness goals from start to finish. The Village is YOU, the people. We strive to curate better a way of life as we continue to forever evolve daily. Through this platform, I offer private yoga sessions, wellness coaching and events.
Atlanta Birthwork is the sister company to Village G.U.R.U. Atlanta Birthwork is the business I have curated to provide maternal wellness care to east and metro Atlanta. I am proud to offer discounted services to East Atlanta natives. What sets me apart from other birthworkers is I am native to GA and work in communities that I know and can relate to mother’s way of life because of it. This gives me the ability to offer empathy in my care and combat the declining maternal/infant health disparities. Through this platform, I offer online courses, prenatal yoga and massage, placenta encapsulation, herbal support and more.
I have worked with a range of clients from RHOA to childhood friends. I believe in teaching and sharing what one learns. I am currently in the process to get a license as a certified professional midwife.
