Today we’d like to introduce you to Morgan Wilson.
Hi Morgan, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My story started back in 2018 when I decided to become a Certified Lash Technician. I took my lash course in March of 2018 & through my lash journey, I decided to go back to school to get my Esthetician License. I enrolled in October of 2018 at Millennium Beauty Institute in Lilburn. Fast forward to four years later & I officially have my own business & operate out of my own suite. I feel as though I got to where I am today by being resilient. My Esthetics journey was just that, A JOURNEY!
While in school, I noticed a disconnect between the Esthetics world & women of color. So throughout school, I always knew I wanted to start my own business to cater to women like me. I also fell in love with the Cosmetic Chemistry portion of school which lead to me starting my own line.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Nothing’s ever smooth, lol. But I definitely think of myself as an adaptor.
When I started Esthetician school in Fall of 2018, I wasn’t prepared to be at a standstill. But the following Spring, I had got into a really bad car accident that had me out that year until August. I had missed so much school that I had to start back over with a new class which began in January 2020.
I look back at that time & remember it being one of the saddest times of my life but also one of the most eye-opening times as well. My business, MorLush. Aesthetics was born during that stand-still period & it definitely was a rainbow after the storm kind of moment.
Fast forward to 2020, when I had to deal with a full-time job & school part-time all while dealing with a pandemic. That was a restless year, but nonetheless, I am grateful for it all & I still ended up exactly where I was suppose to be.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?

The mission of MorLush. is to provide high-quality, naturally derived & organic-based skincare solutions. I pride myself on being results-driven so you can feel comfortable & confident in your own skin.

I think what sets me apart is my passion for wanting to see people confident in their own skin. I am a big fresh face beauty advocate & I just want people to confidently walk around unapologetically themselves if they want.
