Today we’d like to introduce you to Shawn George.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
11:01 brand was initially created back in 2014 with the creation of my footwear design ideas. Footwear design is my initial passion but I had to transition to clothing after having an unfortunate experience with a shoe supplier who I paid to create a prototype of my shoe design which he never completed and eventually stopped responding to my messages altogether. So, I decided to continue to create but in a way that didn’t need to be outsourced so I dove into clothing design since it was the next best way to express my creativity while still being in the fashion field. Now, 2022, I am still on the pursuit of my designer dreams while creating the future of fashion. 11:01 – The Time is Now.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There’s been plenty of challenges. From struggling to come up with the money to invest into things, to people not keeping their word on things they said they’d do, to people stealing money and ideas, to just things going completely not as planned. But, throughout all those things, I persevered and I believe that they were meant to be along my path.
