Inspiring Conversations with Katyah Hall of Smart City Locating

Today we’d like to introduce you to Katyah Hall.

Hi Katyah, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Real estate is something I’m very passionate about, and it’s a career path I’ve always wanted to pursue. I come from a family of real estate professionals. My mother first introduced me to real estate when I was a young girl. She used to take me around neighborhoods with nice homes, and she would even buy houses, renovate them, and then rent them out. As a child, I experienced everything firsthand so ever since then I fell in love with the business. Even though I was in college to study real estate, I changed my major and enrolled in the courses in order to start my profession sooner. I studied for three solid months in order to get my real estate license, I joined a brokerage two days after receiving my license and started my career.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’m aware that, for the time being, my path in real estate won’t be easy because I still have a lot to learn and because it requires patience on my part. I’m prepared to embark on the journey to develop myself and achieve success because I’m so eager, open-minded and high driven.

As you know, we’re big fans of Smart City Locating. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
The company I work for is Smart City Locating. In Dallas, Texas, Smart City began as a modest apartment search service in 2013. By prioritizing what’s right over what’s profitable, Smart City has made significant progress in its effort to upend the real estate industry. With services offered in significant metro areas throughout three states, we are expanding quickly. Additionally, as usual, we strive to put your needs as a client first. Finding an apartment in Atlanta is more than just a job for us. It’s a hobby. Some people could argue we are fixated on it. We make an effort to do more than just give you a list of available rentals because of this. We want to establish a relationship with you and get to know you so that we can make sure you end up in the perfect apartment in the ideal area.

Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
I enjoy reading books about methods to enhance your life and significantly alter it.
