Today we’d like to introduce you to Ellis Bridges.
Hi Ellis, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I grew up in Prentiss, Mississippi and Jackson, MS. I came from a single-mother household. I am the oldest of three kids. My grandma helped me realize early on in my life how important music was to me by making me perform lead songs in the choir. Losing my mom and being forced to help raise my youngest sister at the age of 15 has kept me going and motivated to keep going to provide a better life for the both of us.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No. It’s been extremely rough for me, but I’m going to keep grinding because I feel so close to my breakthrough. As I mentioned earlier, losing my mom was a major struggle for me and having to try to man up and raise my little sister has really kept me going.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a musical artist. I am known for making music and singing. I am most proud of my daughter. My energy sets me apart from others, my music style, and my music topics.
How do you define success?
I define success by discipline, desire, and dedication. I feel like you can’t be successful without those three first.
