Daily Inspiration: Meet Seabash

Today we’d like to introduce you to Seabash. Them and their team share their story with us below:

A small town kid from Blythewood South Carolina, Seabash is slowly taking over the Southeast. Seabash was born Sebastian Thomas. He didn’t discover his passion for music until he was a sophomore at Clemson University. Seabash had an idea he had an amazing talent and he began to take music seriously. Seabash has performed with many platinum artists such as Jack Harlow, Sean Kingston, and 24k Goldn.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Seabash’s road has not been easy, coming from a house of five there was not always an abundance of money available. Seabash didn’t have the money to pay big-time producers and Studio engineers. Instead, Seabash was patient and slowly invested in himself. He learned how to mix his own music and invested into his own equipment so that he could record from home. Seabash still struggles with gaining the platform he needs to really expand his music to new ears but it is a work in progress.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I make Rnb/HipHop music. My music consists of real-life encounters that I have constructed into ballets meant for getting people through their problems. I am most proud of Clemson reaching back out to me asking me to do an hour set opening up for Sean Kingston. Sean Kingston has been one of my favorite artists so it was a real blessing having that opportunity.

What matters most to you? Why?
To me, it matters that people are comfortable with who they are. All my life I have struggled with finding ways to fit in and not stand out but as I am getting older I am seeing the importance of standing out from others. I don’t want to be like anyone else. I may look up to people for inspiration but in the end, I want to be the best version of me.
