Check Out Brandy Burney’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandy Burney.

Hi Brandy, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I was always able to make ppl smile. I notice my talent by the age of five entertaining my kindergarten class during show and tell with puppets I created. Throughout my adolescent years, my humor has got me in and out of situations. In beauty school, I would improv and blurt out sarcastic remarks that made the entire class laugh including the instructor. Ms. E. One day Ms. E stated you’re not a hairstylist your a comedienne, I’m going to sign you up and watch you perform… The entire class came to a club called “backstage”. This was the 1st time I had ever been on stage. But tragically, it wasn’t until the untimely passing of my son’s father that I saw my comedy can help heal a hurting heart. Then my urea moment… I turned my mess into a message thru comedy…

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I wouldn’t say comedy has been a smooth road. Comedy for me has been a winding road. It’s so many levels to comedy that you never know what turn it my take. In the beginning, I just wanted to tell a joke make someone laugh.. not understand set up punchlines, etc. Throughout the years My personal struggles derived from not being knowledgeable about the business i.e (sales, marketing, and online engaging). I’m learning every day to become more social savvy to better my brand.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Quality I feel that most important is my originality and creativity. And that’s what will get met to the level of success I want to achieve.
