Daily Inspiration: Meet Kip Lowery

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kip Lowery. Them and their team share their story with us below:

F&B Executive with over 35 years of experience, from fine dining to concession. Kip started his career at a young age of 14, growing up in the hospitality industry absorbing all the knowledge he could. He has worked for many of the top F&B companies in the US; Brinker, Dave & Busters, Disney, Levy Restaurants and Stars & Strikes. His passion and operational expertise is known throughout the industry. With numerous awards ranging from Guest Service to Best of Atlanta, Kip is always willing to go above and beyond for his guests. Kip strives to provide an exceptional guest experience with tantalizing Coastal Dishes with a twist of Southern Cuisine, using fresh ingredients. Providing handcrafted cocktails, craft beer and wine to quench the thirst. Kip’s quest is to enlighten his guests with good old Southern Hospitality Service.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been a nice surprise that we have not faced many challenges with all the great support from the local community!

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Here at Dive Southern Coastal Kitchen, I can use my creativity when developing the Southern Coastal dishes. I like to develop traditional Southern Coastal dishes with a twist! One good example is our famous Chicken & Waffle Sandwich served with a Maple Aioli. We have many creative dishes that keep our guests coming back to try the different unique menu items.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
To treat both our staff and guests as family and to follow our Core Values of the Company.

This is a family business, I started with my sister Celeste Charleston. We decided to bring Southern Hospitality to Canton, Ga providing a unique twist to Southern Coastal Cuisine! Her husband Rob Lewis, the craftsman, poured his heart in soul in creating one of a kind flowing river bar out of cedar plank from a cedar tree my father cut down 40 years ago while building a summer home in Calloway Gardens. But most important, to my loving and supporting wife, Heather Lowery, who has always been by my side supporting my dreams!
