Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Oliver.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Well, I’ve always had a passion for art. I always would love to draw, even as a kid. But I really started taking it seriously in 2020 when the pandemic hit. I just started doodling at work in my free time. Then I would kind of hang the doodles up in my room and patients started to notice and started to tell me my art was really nice really cool and that I should do something with it. But it really took family and friends to convince to me really do something with my art so that’s when I started to take things seriously. So in February, I took a leap of faith and I started my own business HippieDRIPSxo.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Well so far it has been pretty fun and for the most part pretty smooth. I mean I would at times get in my own head and start to doubt my abilities in my art but then it just takes a little encouragement from others to keep me going and to regain confidence in myself.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a full-time X-ray Tech. I work in the sports medicine clinic. I have been doing that for five years. I love my job and what I do but recently I’ve just had a shift in focus and I realize that art is my true Passion.
What are your plans for the future?
In the future, I would love to be a full-time artist. I would like to continue being in art shows. Also, I would like to draw for various people. Hopefully, even drawing for major brands and people.
