Hi Tijuana, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hi, my name is Tijuana Hairston and I’m a mom of 1 Queen and 3 Kings. I am originally from Danville, Virginia but I relocated to North Carolina over 9 years ago to provide a better life for my family. My professional hair journey started over 10 years ago. My friends and family were my very first customers lol. After a short time I realized I really enjoyed doing hair so I started doing hair for other people. As I got older and began to become more interested in weaves, lace fronts ect, I noticed everybody was liking them as well. After a while, I got an understanding of what people liked, was looking for and what they wanted to extend their beauty. That’s how Beauty Boss Hair Gallery was created.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
For me and my business, it has not been a smooth ride. Once I created the name and business Beauty Boss Hair Gallery I started getting my paperwork together (which I had to learn on my own), business and financial plans in order and then I started looking for storefronts. This was by far one of my struggles. I wasn’t new to being a business owner but I was when it came to understand commercial leases etc. Nobody would give me a chance when I tried to get a building for my business. I called and emailed at least 50 real estate agents and I got turned down 50 times. I got to my 51st call and email and after months of communicating with this agent, she gave me the chance I’d been waiting for. I finally got my very first storefront physical location. I also struggled with getting customers. I thought my friends and family would be my number one customers but I can honestly say most of my customers are people I don’t even know. And for that, I am very grateful and thankful!
We’ve been impressed with Beauty Boss Hair Gallery, LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Beauty Boss Hair Gallery is a one stop shop. We don’t just specialize in providing the community and customers that may suffer from hair loss and alopecia with weave bundles, wigs or in doing hair. We also specialize in Organic and Vegan Body Care products. We do offer women & men clothes, shoes, lingerie and women & men bags. What set Beauty Boss aside from others is the dedication, commitment and love we have for providing our customers with the best quality products. Beauty Boss will always provide the best services to our customers. If we don’t have it, we will find it, if they aren’t happy with a product, we will fix it, if our customers have no way to get to us, we will bring it to you. Our customers is the foundation to our business!

My goal is to one day be able to donate wigs to cancer fighters, individuals with hair loss and alopecia.
