Exploring Life & Business with Tyyan Peters and Keiyona Myles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tyyan Peters and Keiyona Myles. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Private Party, Organic Yoni Care is the creation of Keiyona Myles and Tyyan Peters. Keiyona had an idea and very early on Tyyan joined her and together they developed the Private Party brand.

Keiyona became pregnant in 2018 and what was supposed to be the most exciting time of her life became the most stressful and trying time of her life. Prior to pregnancy, Keiyona struggled with ovarian cysts but pregnancy amplified those struggles as the ovarian cyst she already had doubled in size and another cyst began to develop on the other ovary. She was told by her doctor that she must stop certain activities and schedule surgery to take place at 20 weeks pregnant. She went through with the surgery and had a healthy premature girl via C-section.

However, Keiyona couldn’t help but wonder how she got here in this position and why doctors are trying to normalize women’s health issues. She began to ask more questions that no one seemed to have answers but after lots of research, what she did discover is that women have been unknowingly injecting ourselves with toxin-infused feminine hygiene products such as tampons. Manufacturers legally don’t have to disclose to us what chemicals are used in the products but yet they have convinced us to use these products as part of our normal regimen for several years, decades, without question. Now is the time to challenge the status quo of the feminine hygiene industry, start asking the tough questions and really pay attention to what goes into our bodies, specifically by way of the vagina. Keiyona felt that it was her duty and mission to educate women worldwide and empower them to take back control of their health by using all-natural organic products that are free from toxins. Thus, Private Party, Organic Yoni Care was born!

We are here to help women celebrate womanhood with confidence in knowing that our products are formulated with health above all.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Far from it! Building a business is not easy, but it’s worth it! We have faced many struggles in every area of business and at every level. As you build a business from the ground up, you will always go through challenges which is just part of the process. We have learned to stay ahead of the curve by keeping ourselves educated and looking to the future so that we can start to answer questions for problems that haven’t even been presented yet, but we know they’re coming. To be specific, the most challenging but most important thing is marketing. Learning how to display our products, how to get them in front of the right customer, and how to communicate with our ideal customer has been challenging. It’s more than just posting on social media. You have to actually build an audience and develop a relationship. We are learning and we also now understand when to bring in professional help.

We just embrace the journey and the growth that comes along with it.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Private Party is a party for her private parts. We are all about celebrating womanhood, empowering women, and educating them that there are all-natural alternative ways to help with feminine care and womb issues. We bring a fun and energetic vibe to what is generally known as a taboo topic, but we sprinkle a little education on top. Our brand is party themed and we have fun with the names of our products but very intentional about the high-quality natural ingredients that we use. We want to teach what we believe was skipped over when we were younger and solutions that women are just unaware of.

We want women to know that you’re not alone. We have created a judgement-free zone with our private Facebook group (Private Party For Her, A Safe Place For Girl Talk) for women to discuss issues freely and openly within a community of supportive women who have been through whatever you are experiencing and can share ideas and tips for not just feminine care but also relationships and whatever you need support with.

Our products are an extension of us helping women to live their best life authentically and unapologetically. Our products are specially formulated for vaginal health. We help women get rid of odor, bacterial vaginosis, yeast infections, painful menstrual cramps, vaginal dryness, and more. Our at-home vaginal steaming kit is for cleansing and detoxing the womb of impurities, helps to regulate your menstrual cycle, increase wetness, and many other benefits; all by using the healing powers of all-natural herbs. We also provide products for daily care and cleansing.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Finding a mentor is really about understanding yourself and your personal needs and wants. Once you began to identify what it is that you want you should intentionally look for people that are doing exactly what it is that you want to do. Look on Google, YouTube, social media, etc. Find people that you resonate with and make efforts to learn from them whether it’s virtually or through a one-on-one mentorship program. It won’t always be free but you have to be dedicated to the mission. Study these people and learn from them by listening to what they say and watching what they do. Do not try to be like them, but use what they teach you to be a better version of your authentic self. Don’t just listen but implement and take action. When you report your success back to them, they naturally will respect you more and want to teach you more.
