Today we’d like to introduce you to Krystle Sourisoud.
Hi Krystle, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hi! Thank you for having me, I’m Krystle from Krystle’s Kreations.
I started cooking when I was a little girl. I watched my grandma a lot in the kitchen and I would emulate her as much as I could possibly grasp. Fast forward from a little girl to a younger adult, I started baking. I like desserts a lot! I would explore and create ideas and sometimes would replicate my favorite candies into baked goods and that’s when I knew I was onto something. Once I got that feeling, I always wanted to be Krystle’s Kreations and have begun since 2016. Here we are, six years later and still going at it!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Smooth?! What is that? Lol. This obstacle has not been smooth at all. It has moments where you feel like you’re doing so well and then come to a complete stop. Just to be honest, there were plenty of times where I didn’t want to continue Krystle’s Kreations, but what keeps me going is the feeling I get when I do cook, bake, or complete a treat and that tells me it’s not over yet. The feedback and love received from clients and others keep me going and remind me to not critique myself so hard but just keep swimming! (Like what Dory said, lol.)
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Krystle’s Kreations?
I cook. I bake. I create sweet treats too! Krystle’s Kreations specializes in indulgence. Whether you enjoy a delicious plate of food, have the urge to devour sweets because of your sweet tooth, or you’d like to treat a special someone or yourself with a box of chocolate-covered treats. I believe what sets me apart from others is that I’m quite flexible, creative, and overall passionate about the work I do. What I’m most proud about when it comes to my brand is that I don’t cater to just one thing, I’m very versatile. Food is being offered, whether you need meal preps, a plate, or need to be catered. Sweets and treats, such as cupcakes, chocolate-covered strawberries, Oreos, pretzels and Rice Krispies, are also offered for parties, baby showers, and other events.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Valentine’s Day weekend of 2021 would probably have to be one of the best played, thus far, with Krystle’s Kreations. It was one of the best because I had just recently lost my job due to store closing, and that was my sign to grind with the business with no excuses whatsoever.
