Today we’d like to introduce you to Markevia Mincey.
Hi Markevia, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I wanted to be an author for as long as I could remember. I love to read! It wasn’t until my family moved to Atlanta during the middle of the Covid 19 pandemic is when I decided to just go for it! I had the time to do it! I decided to write my first story about our family moving to Atlanta and how our oldest daughter was apprehensive about the move. I knew other children could relate and that was the ultimate goal. Writing a story someone could relate to and help them through their situation is a pleasure.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Writing the story was easy. It was everything afterward that became a challenge. I’m self-published so I had to find an editor and illustrator myself. It was a trial and error process!
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Kumfee Kush LLC?
Outside of being a children’s author, my husband and I have a clothing line called Kumfee Kush, which is an urban/streetwear clothing for the family. We also have a production studio called Mr. Mince Productions Inc. We provide video and audio services. We have full functional recording studio, we have shot music videos, movies, weddings, documentaries and music productions. What sets us apart from others is we have everything. We do not have to outsource anything!

My family is very active in the community! We have given toy drives, donated school supplies and inspiration to others!
