Hi Jade, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My story is nothing but trials, tribulations and triumphs. Right now I’m in a chapter of adolescence in life. Understanding life’s continuous cycles and grasping the concept of the bigger picture. Mentally and physically preparing myself for my true adulthood.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It has been the furthest from a smooth road but I’d be a liar to act as if God didn’t bless me with the largest and toughest tires out there for this ride. I’m embracing faith whole.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am an Artist. Not a rapper but an artist, writer, singer, mc, engineer. I specialize in my flow and lyrics. Every bar means something and every line is a message to someone out there. Sometimes, that someone is me. I’m most proud of my consistency… I’ve been dropping music since 2015 with a project every year. 2015-2018 was under the alias “Wavey” or “WaveyInHerOcean” transitioning into a more mature side of myself, which is self. Now I go by Jade1of1. I believe what I stand for separates me from everyone.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
God, my family and music. Because all three are permanent, understanding and authentic.
