Meet Jessica Aldridge

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Aldridge.

Hi Jessica, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
After working in sales for almost 8 years. I became an entrepreneur in 2019 with my very first business venture writing resumes and helping people find employment. I moved into new business ventures in 2020 that include my skincare line, KGLOW Skin and I started a non-profit for minority entrepreneurs called Black Businesses United, together, we have hosted several community events and business mixers in the city. I have helped minority business owners expand their businesses through networking and support. And I’ve met some pretty amazing entrepreneurs and creatives along the way.

In late 2020 after needing to market my business and learning how to make artwork for my brands, I started learning and perfecting graphic design, I have been working as a full-time graphic designer since May of 2021. I am currently under my largest contract to date with one of the largest financial technical companies in the United States.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It definitely has not been a smooth road to say the least. Sometimes with my non-profit, I struggled with keeping my vision from being clouded and making sure everyone was taken care of. The bigger we became the more I felt like I wasn’t giving enough to the members.

With graphic design, I struggled with gaining clients in the beginning but I had friends and family who believed in me and helped me build my portfolio.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I specialize in small business projects. I am known for the websites I have created for businesses in my area. I have serviced over 100 clients and built over 50 websites for small businesses. What sets me apart from others is that I work hand in hand with my clients to achieve their goals, I provide more than graphic design. I provide an ongoing rapport with each person that I help. I really love what I do. What I am most proud of is the long term clients I service and watching their brands/businesses grow. One of then most recent campaigns I have done is for one of my business partners which is a fitness brand, we created a rebirth campaign for her gym that caters to mothers. It is one of my best projects to date and I am very proud of the work we did.
