Today we’d like to introduce you to Aaliyah Jackson.
Hi Aaliyah, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’m a 20 years old entrepreneur from Athens, GA I got the idea of starting a hair business in 2018 but didn’t officially launch until June of 2019. I would spend hours at a time doing research to find other hair companies to purchase from for personal use and realized that I could put that research into finding my own supplier and starting my own hair business. In the beginning, I only look at it as a side hustle to make extra money for normal teenage girl things, I had no idea that it would thrive the way it has, Within these last 3 years my business has grossed 6-figures in sales and is continuing to flourish every year.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
This journey definitely has had its bumps in the road, from being scammed out of inventory money, to literally having to stop my entire business because of issues with my supplier. I’ve went back to the drawing board several times and have wanted to quit more times than I can count but as long as you really put the work in and apply yourself you’ll get the results, Afterall nothing that’s worth having comes easy.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We specialize in selling top-quality wigs, bundles and lace. I have also begun branching off into hot tools and digital products as well. I actually just created my first eBook called ” The Hair Boss Blueprint” and it basically goes into detail on how to start a successful hair business, scaling your business, branding and so much more. Starting a hair business isn’t easy so I created this eBook to make the process a lot smoother for other ladies who want to own a hair company and help them avoid all the headaches I went through. Since starting my business in 2019, it has allowed me to live freely while not having to depend on the security of a job and has open up doors for new opportunities and investments.
